HAYNES CROSSING NEWSLETTER

THANK YOU FOR LIVING IN HAYNES CROSSING THE BEST NEIGHBORHOOD IN SPRING HILL, TENNESSEE.

As you know, THE HAYNES CROSSING HOA BOARD now distributes the HOA Newsletter by e-mail and will post it on our website www.haynescrossing.org under the Haynes Crossing Newsletter Page. We will, however, send out Dues Notices and Annual Meeting Notices through regular mail.

THANK YOU

THE HAYNES CROSSING HOA BOARD WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU
-- Our Homeowners -- for your continued efforts to make our community one of the nicest subdivisions in Spring Hill. Members of the Board drive through the neighborhood on a regular basis and find that most homeowners work hard to make their yards and homes beautiful with regular mowing, trimming, and exterior home maintenance.

Unfortunately, the subdivision has approximately 5% of homeowners who are irresponsible and do not properly maintain their home and property. This is extremely frustrating to your HOA Board. The Board has contacted our attorney to seek advice regarding negligent homeowners. Unkempt homeowner properties make our neighborhood look shabby. The Board will take all necessary steps to enforce homeowner rules. Our rules are very clear (Section Eight (8) of the CCR) regarding the prohibition of debris and junk lying around homes and in yards.

For the ninety five percent (95%) of proud homeowners, if you see a home on your street or in the subdivision that has maintenance issues, please report it to the Board – all complaints shall remain anonymous. This is going to be a point of emphasis this year for the HOA.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

CHRISTMAS IS OVER -- PLEASE REMOVE ALL CHRISTMAS LIGHTS IMMEDIATELY.
If the President of the HOA can get 40,000 lights down and put away 3 weeks after the Christmas holiday, NO ONE has an excuse to have 4 or 5 strings still hanging on their gutters in the middle of April. Your neighbors are complaining!!

BIGGEST COMPLAINTS FROM HOMEOWNERS - COMMON SENSE CONSIDERATIONS

Grass Growing Over Curbs

The HOA Board regularly receives this complaint -- please take a few extra minutes after mowing and weed eating your yard to trim along the street curb. Letting grass grow over the curb is very unsightly, and it takes away from the rest of the neighborhood.

Also, please do not leave cut grass in the street -- blow any cuttings back into your yard.

Cars and Trailers on the Grass

Do not park Cars and Trailers on the grass – it is one of our biggest complaints.

In addition to not parking cars/trailers on the grass, the Board asks that all trailers, boats, etc., be parked out of sight from the street. Cars Parked on Street

There is now a City Ordinance that will ticket your car if you park regularly on the street, rather than in your own driveway. Parking on the street for short term parties or gatherings is deemed reasonable – otherwise all vehicles must be parked in their own driveways.

Stray Dogs and Cats

This is one of our top complaints. Per City Codes, you MUST keep animals in your own yard and not let them run around the neighborhood. If you see an animal roaming around, please call animal control to pick them up.

Williamson County
615-790-5590
Maury County
931-540-0897

Also, please do not let your dogs poop in other homeowners’ yards while walking them.

BARKING DOGS

SPRING AND SUMMER ARE TIMES WHEN FOLKS LIKE TO WORK IN THEIR YARDS AND HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY OVER FOR COOKOUTS. But these activities are destroyed when homeowners allow their dogs to constantly bark while neighbors are trying to enjoy themselves.

This is a HUGE complaint. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF YOUR NEIGHBORS. Dogs bark at people -- that is what they do. Haynes Crossing is a dog-friendly neighborhood. HOWEVER, dog owners must be responsible. Dog owners, please use common sense while your neighbors are doing outside activities - put your dog in the garage or in the house so everyone can enjoy their day.

SIGNS ON POLES

Please do NOT tape Garage/Yard Sale signs or other announcements on any street or stop signs in the Haynes Crossing Subdivision. ALSO, PLEASE DO NOT STICK ANY SIGNS AT THE FRONT ENTRANCE ON HAYNES CROSSING PROPERTY. IF YOU MUST PLACE A SIGN AT THE ENTRANCE, PLACE IT OUTSIDE OF THE FRONT COLUMNS ON THE SIDE WHERE THE GRAY BUILDING IS LOCATED. THERE ARE PEOPLE TRAMPLING DOWN OUR FLOWERS JUST TO PUT A SIGN IN THE GROUND.

ANY SIGN FOUND ON HAYNES CROSSING PROPERTY WILL BE PICKED UP AND THROWN AWAY IMMEDIATELY.

Haynes Crossing homeowners paid for new street and stop signs, and they don’t want them ruined with tape glue. In addition, it is against City Ordinances to tape materials on Stop signs. If you see someone taping a sign on our poles, please tell them not to do it.

FRONT ENTRANCE

OUR FRONT ENTRANCE IS OUR TRADEMARK FOR THE HAYNES CROSSING NEIGHBORHOOD.
The HOA Board considers it one of the nicest entrances in Spring Hill. As you all know, there are twenty two (22) very large Bradford Pear trees that line the street as you enter the neighborhood. They are beautiful trees; however, Bradford Pears are extremely weak and easily broken in high winds. One of these trees has snapped in half. It will be taken out shortly but not replaced. The HOA Board is in discussions about what should be done concerning the weakness of the Bradford Pear trees and the cost to replace them.

VANDALISM IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

THE BOARD IS VERY AWARE OF VANDALISM IN HAYNES CROSSING
. The Board is spending a tremendous amount of money on electrical light repairs at the front entrance because young teens are kicking out lights as they walk by. Vandals have also spray painted the fence and culverts. The Board has adopted a $500 Reward Program for the arrest and conviction of anyone caught vandalizing Haynes Crossing property. New signs will be posted on the entrance fences in the near future. If you see anything suspicious, please call the Police Department immediately.

ARCHITECTURAL AND OUTBUILDING CHANGE FORM

REMEMBER, AN ARCHITECTURAL AND OUTBUILDING CHANGE FORM MUST BE FILLED OUT
and sent to the Haynes Crossing HOA Board before any construction or Outbuilding can be placed or started on your lot. See Paragraph Three (3) and Paragraph (10) of the Haynes Crossing Covenants, Condition and Restrictions. You can find the form on the Website under the title, “A&O Form.” These rules will be strictly enforced.
